Thinking about making a donation?
What Furniture can I donate?
Donated furniture must be in good, sellable condition.
We can only accept upholstered furniture if the fire safety label is still attached. This is due to legislation, and without a fire label we are unable to sell these items.
Our drivers reserve the right to refuse a collection if the item has been misrepresented or is not a sellable piece.
Please be aware that it costs Demelza vital funds to dispose of unsellable items.
Are you collecting or delivering furniture?
We are able to offer free collections of sellable, donated furniture dependant on location and driver availability.
If you have purchased a piece of furniture from one of our Demelza shops, kerbside delivery can be arranged with our Furniture teams. Please note that there is a charge for deliveries.
Can you collect donations from my house?
We do not generally collect clothing and items from your home, however if you are interested in donating other items in larger quantities please email us on furniture@demelza.org.uk.
Where can I take my items you can't accept?
We are sorry that we will not be able to accept all donations due to suitability and our own capacity. Please, do check your own local council website for advice on guidance on recycling centres, or approach other charities that may need your particular items. As always, thank you so much for thinking of Demelza.
